--Runny Babbit (A Billy Sook by Shel Silversteien)--
|
I finally picked up this book. It's the book that what was released after Shel Silvestein died. The concept is switching the first letters of words around. It takes some time to read. But I think it was really fun to read through. And, of course, the drawings are great. Runny Babbit is the character through out the book, and it's basically little poems and stories that involve him.
This is my favorite drawing in the book...

I highly reccomend picking up this book. Especially if you already have some Shel Silverstein books. |

--Boudin Bakery (Clam Chowder in a Bread Bowl)--
|
Boudin Bakery is between 2nd st. and New Montgomery on Market st. It looks pretty small from the outside, but when you walk in, it's a very nice building with 3 floors for seating. And the walls are all brick, sorta cool, old style.
After tax, an order of clam chowder in a bread bowl is $5.93 (or $5.97, I can't remember). I know the clam chowder is just from a can, but it still tastes good, and all the bread makes it a pretty filling meal, for not that much money. Especially for around that area of San Francisco, where everything costs like a million dollars.

--Optimator Spaten Beer--
|
So...went to Trader Joe's and decided to get a beer I havn't tried yet. This one looked pretty good. "Spaten" beer. Sounded good. 7.2% alchohol.

For such a dark beer, and high alchohol content, it's surprisingly not-so heavy. It has a very sweet taste. It's not too expensive either. At Trader Joe's, the six pack is $6.99. I gotta say though. It isn't my favorite beer. It's not horrible. But it isn't quite a refreshing beer, and it isn't quite a heavy beer. So I don't exactly know what I would eat along with it. |
